Synopsis

Lizzie Young was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a child and has spent her life feeling out of step with her family and peers. When she meets Hugh Biggs, a steady, quietly perceptive boy from her town, she finds someone who sees past her struggles rather than around them.

Set against the same Cork, Ireland backdrop as the rest of the series, Releasing 10 follows Lizzie and Hugh's relationship from childhood friendship into first love, as both must contend with family upheaval, mental illness, and trauma that reaches back further than either of them realizes.

The sixth book in Chloe Walsh's Boys of Tommen series, Releasing 10 closes out the group's story with the same attention to found family, recovery, and hard-won hope as its predecessors. Content note: the book addresses childhood sexual abuse, an unwanted pregnancy and its loss, self-harm, and suicide in explicit detail, and is intended for adult readers.
