Synopsis

Nora Henderson is of the opinion that chocolate cures almost everything, which is among the reasons she opened her bakery in the small town of Jupiter, Maine five years ago. People come from miles around for her chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, regulars nearly come to blows over the last almond croissant, and some swear her chocolate chip cookies ease the sting of heartbreak.

But underneath the frosting and the cheerful shop décor, Nora is still working through a broken engagement, self-doubt, and anxiety she hasn't fully named. She can't imagine that Rowan Derrick, the gruff veteran who owns the local construction company and broods his way around town, would ever be interested in someone like her. He's had his eye on her for longer than she thinks.

Anne Malcom opens the Jupiter Tides series with a small-town grumpy-sunshine romance about a baker learning that being a mess doesn't disqualify her from being loved.
