Synopsis
Still grieving her grandmother, Alex Bailey decides to use the last gift the quilting matriarch left behind: a cruise, booked before she died. Alex talks her friends from the Spruce Street quilting circle into coming along, hoping the trip will stitch the group back together.
The holiday unravels when a young man is found dead aboard the Tranquility. The ship's answer is a tragic accident; Alex is not convinced, and starts pulling at the threads.
Kathryn Mykel's cozy mystery keeps the violence off the page and the craft on it — a small, warm amateur-sleuth puzzle with a quilting community at its centre. It is the second Quilting Cozy Mystery and won the 2022 Indie Cozy Mystery Tribe Book of the Year.
