Synopsis

When Nicholas Smithfield unexpectedly becomes the Duke of Gage, he inherits an estate on the edge of ruin and a betrothal contract he cannot afford to break. So he marries Lady Isabella Sawford, a woman groomed from birth to be the flawless duchess her parents designed, and who has never been permitted a preference of her own.

Rather than press his rights on a nervous bride, Nicholas waits, works out his frustration at a boxing saloon, and sets about a slow, deliberate courtship of his own wife. Isabella, given room for the first time in her life, begins to discover who she actually is.

Put Up Your Duke is the second of Megan Frampton's Dukes Behaving Badly novels — a Regency romance about a reformed rake wooing the woman he has already married.
