I still haven't read any of Rowell's best-seller books, but at least now I can say I read a comic by her. For all the praise this comic received, it wasn't all that... at least at the beginning, which was slooow. I was about to put it down towards a third of the way through, but I pushed myself and continued reading. I'm thankful I did because it got better. It's a very cute and warm story with some nice surprises. A romantic story set in Halloween month is kind of unexpected and we definitely need more media representation of interracial couples. Overall it's a fluffy read with some good insights and message.
