Synopsis

Pulp Friction is the second book in Julie Anne Lindsey's Cider Shop Mystery series, published in 2020 and set in the small town of Blossom Valley, West Virginia.

Winona Mae Montgomery runs the cider shop on her family's orchard alongside her grandmother, and the business is finally busy enough to host events. The first of them, a wedding reception, ends with the groom dead. Suspicion lands on Winnie's ex-boyfriend, and with a suspect she does not believe in and a shop whose reputation cannot survive an unsolved murder, she starts asking the questions the sheriff's department is not.

Like the rest of the series, it is a light cozy mystery: small-town gossip, an amateur sleuth with a business to protect, a simmering romance, and a puzzle solved without graphic violence on the page.
