I inhaled this book in the span of two days. The worldbulding is not exetensive, but it's very recognizable and solid. I don't usually read dark romances, but the fire the FMC had was very refreshing in a world of more passive FMCs. I liked her relationship with Sam and how it slowly built into trust, despire Sam's belief in the Order. The banter with Carrson was also extremely enjoyable. 

As for negatives I can only say the Author's note about a an image that could be seen by signing up in the newslist (with QR code) was maybe something that should have been left at the end of the book, since it sort of brought me out of the narration. All in all, I saw very few typos and the fanarts and images really brought the characters to life. On to the prequel!
