Postmortem of a Poem

A cold case involving a missing teenager still hangs over Detective Isobel "Bel" Emerson when a gruesome discovery at the lake interrupts a Fourth of July police picnic, dragging her back into an active investigation. Even with FBI assistance, the case stalls at dead ends and mounting evidence that leads nowhere — until another teenage girl goes missing. As weeks pass without a real break, Bel is forced to confront the possibility that these connected cases may become the first cold cases to haunt the Bajka Police Department for good.

Loosely inspired by The Little Mermaid, Nicole Scarano continues the Autopsy of a Fairytale series with a tense crime thriller wrapped in romantic suspense.
