Pimps, Whores and Welfare Brats From Welfare Cheat to Conservative Messenger

Star Parker's memoir recounts her journey from a delinquent teenager involved in crime and drugs to a prominent conservative voice. After arriving in Los Angeles in the 1970s, she found herself an unemployed single mother living on welfare, a system she learned to exploit. Her life took a dramatic turn through Christianity and a commitment to self-empowerment, leading her to speak out against welfare and advocate for conservative policies on education, abortion, and social issues.
