Synopsis

A forthcoming mythological retelling by Madeline Miller (Circe, The Song of Achilles), reimagining the story of Persephone. Miller announced the project in December 2021, after setting aside an earlier planned novel based on The Tempest. No official title, synopsis, or release date has been confirmed by the publisher; "Persephone" is the working title used in press coverage.

Madeline Miller was born on July 24, 1978, in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in New York City and Philadelphia. She earned a BA and MA in Classics from Brown University, and later completed an MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism at the Yale School of Drama, focusing on the adaptation of classical texts for modern audiences.
