Oh I love this wave of writers who are taking interest in revisiting Greek mythology. I'm obsessed with it, I want to read as much of their books as possible and I wish I could retain the amount of info they are presenting. Here, the book focuses on (as it is obviously stated in the title) women of Greek mythology, from Pandora (the title, again) to Helen, Medusa, Medea, Jocasta etc... Each of their stories are told backed with academic arguments, a feminist point of view, focusing solely on the women and the way they evolved in the classic literature and the Mythology. It was quite an enjoyable read, very fun, different, not in the least bit boring (though me and non fictional literature are not on good terms). If you have any interest in getting to know the women of Greek myths more deeply and gain a better understanding of them, away from the male centered stories, you should give this book a try.
