Synopsis

Oracle is Andrew Pyper's Audible Original psychological thriller, performed by Joshua Jackson. Nate Russo works with the FBI as a psychic consultant on abductions and homicides: by touching those closest to a missing person, he can see the horrifying moments before they disappeared. The gift has made him useful and it has made him hollow, and he has spent years managing the cost of it.

When a new case arrives, the visions turn on him. What Nate sees no longer belongs neatly to someone else's life, and the boundary between what he witnesses and what is coming for him begins to fail. Pyper, long a fixture of literary horror and suspense, writes the supernatural as a burden rather than a superpower.

Written for audio and structured around Jackson's first-person performance, Oracle is a tight, dread-heavy thriller and the opening entry in a series that continues with a second Nate Russo case.
