Liked the premise. A bold widow placing an ad is fun. Also was really into the spice hitting early and often.
But then I got bored. Maybe it was my mood and attention idk. There were too many side characters pulled focus from the MCs. The romance felt rushed and abrupt. Feelings showed up without enough slow build-up. The tone also shifted to kind of dark with her marriage history.
Overall, it was just an okay book. Some parts worked. The heat was solid. A few side characters were more interesting than the leads. I lost interest near the end and did not feel much urge to finish.
Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this ARC.
