Only One Wave

Synopsis

After a tsunami devastates Nalowale Island, survivors begin falling ill with something no one can name. They cannot sleep. They hallucinate. They turn aggressive and irrational, and then they die.

Infectious disease expert Dr. Madeline Hamilton and FBI anti-terror agent Quinn Traynor are sent to determine what the disaster shook loose — a natural pathogen stirred up by the waves, or something that was put there. The island's isolation is the only thing keeping the outbreak contained, and it will not hold for long.

The third entry in the FBI & CDC medical thriller series, following Only Wrong Once and Only One Cure. It can be read on its own, though the working relationship between Hamilton and Traynor carries forward from the earlier books.
