Synopsis

Long before the events of His Dark Materials, a young aeronaut named Lee Scoresby lands his hot air balloon in the frozen Arctic port of Novy Odense. He quickly finds himself caught in a dangerous conflict between a corrupt businessman and a local sea captain. To survive the political corruption and gunfire, Lee must form an unlikely alliance with a giant armored bear named Iorek Byrnison.
