A short book that works as a good premise for the rest of the series. Compared to other Christmas books, this one does have the Christmasy vibes setting, but I’d give it a solid 3/5 on the holiday scale. There are lots of mentions of festive activities, yet we don’t really get to experience them. The gingerbread house competition and the skiing are talked about throughout the book, but when it comes to actually showing them, it’s more like “and it happened” and we move on.
Beyond the setting, there isn’t much romance. It’s mostly a “when can I bang you? 24/7” situation, where the focus is more on attraction. That said, the brothers personalities has me intrigued enough to maybe continue the series.
