On a Quiet Street

On a Quiet Street
Synopsis
Brighton Hills looks like the safest place on the Oregon coast: big houses under the firs, lawns running down to the lake. Paige has not recovered from the hit-and-run that killed her son, and she has begun watching her neighbours, convinced his death was no accident.
Cora believes her husband Finn is unfaithful and wants proof. Their two obsessions converge, while across the street Georgia — a young mother who never leaves her house — grows stranger by the day, her husband insisting she is unwell.
Told in alternating chapters from all three women, On a Quiet Street is a domestic thriller about surveillance, grief, and how much a neighbourhood will not see. It was nominated for an Edgar Award.
