Synopsis

Notorious opens Minerva Spencer's Rebels of the Ton series with Drusilla Clare, a sharp-witted heiress and founding member of a Wollstonecraft-inspired ladies' society who wants nothing to do with marriage. When a scoundrel compromises her at a society ball, she is rescued by Gabriel Marlington — London's most notorious rake — who marries her to salvage her reputation.

What begins as a marriage of convenience deepens as Gabriel is drawn in by Drusilla's wit and outspoken philosophy, and their mutual attraction grows despite both of their reservations about the match. Their new life together is complicated by a mysterious rival and a set of hidden threats that force the couple to rely on one another to survive them.

Set in Regency London's ton, Notorious is connected to Spencer's earlier Outcasts series through Gabriel's mother and stepfather, whose own story is told in Dangerous.
