Synopsis

Northern Twilight is the fifth novel in Samantha Young's Highlands series, set largely in the Scottish Highlands town of Ardnoch.

As teenagers, Callie Ironside and Lewis Adair were inseparable, but something drove them apart and Lewis spent the following seven years living in London. Callie tried to move on, training in pastry in Paris and dating around, before returning home to work in her mother's bakery — a life that keeps reminding her of the future she once imagined with Lewis.

A visit to London brings them together again, and old feelings resurface alongside old hurt, leading to a single night together. When Callie discovers she is pregnant, both of them are forced to reckon with what went wrong between them as teenagers and whether they can build something new. The novel moves between the present and their shared past as teenagers to unpack why they separated in the first place.
