Synopsis

Orry Main and George Hazard meet as young cadets at West Point, forging a bond that bridges the growing divide between their Northern and Southern homes. As the 1840s and 50s unfold, their friendship is tested by the Mexican-American War and the rising political tensions that threaten to tear the country apart. This epic follows two families through decades of personal struggle and national crisis leading up to the first shots of the Civil War.
