Synopsis

On a remote, graying island brought back to life by its prized "black fig" harvest, fig farmer Keita Izumi crosses paths with a drifter whose menace is unmistakable and utterly out of place among the islanders. A single violent moment sets in motion a cover-up that will test how far ordinary people will go to protect the fragile peace they have rebuilt.

The opening volume of Tetsuya Tsutsui's rural-noir thriller noise (ノイズ), serialized in Grand Jump and later adapted into a live-action film.
