Synopsis

Danielle Steel's No Greater Love opens aboard the Titanic, where the Winfield family is sailing home to America after celebrating the eldest daughter's engagement in England. The disaster takes both parents and Edwina Winfield's fiance, leaving her, at twenty, the sole guardian of five younger siblings, the youngest barely a toddler.

What follows is a family saga spanning the decades after 1912. Edwina puts her own future aside to raise her brothers and sisters and to keep the family newspaper running. Her siblings scatter into their own lives across the following years, one to Harvard and then to the First World War, another to Hollywood in search of fame, and Edwina steers the family through each crisis that follows.

Only after years of holding everyone else together does Edwina allow herself to be loved again, finding that the greatest love she has known is the one that bound her family through catastrophe.
