Synopsis

The ninth Ghost Hunter mystery sends M.J. Holliday south. She takes a break from her paranormal investigation show to visit her father in Georgia, where he is about to marry Christine Bigelow, and finds that Christine's restoration of an antebellum mansion is going badly wrong.

The property appears to be inhabited by genuinely evil beings, and the accidents afflicting the work crew keep escalating. With Gilley and Heath along, M.J. has to work out whether cursed spirits or the house itself is responsible.

The case turns personal when M.J. learns disturbing things about her late mother's childhood, giving this darker entry in Victoria Laurie's series a family mystery underneath the haunting.
