Nightchaser

Amanda Bouchet's Endeavor series opens with Captain Tess Bailey and her crew of Robin Hood-like thieves aboard a stolen ship, desperate and on the run. They steal for the needy in a galaxy run by an overlord, and Tess's own past is tied more tightly to his than she wants anyone to know.

Pursued by a vicious military general who wants them dead or alive, Tess is forced to rely on Shade Ganavan — tall, dark, arrogant, and impossible to place. He may be help, he may be a trap, and the chemistry between them is no help at all in deciding which.

Nightchaser is space opera pitched squarely at romance readers: a fast, sexy, high-stakes adventure that leaves several of its threads deliberately unfinished. It ends on a cliffhanger and continues in Starbreaker.
