Synopsis

Before the massacre at Nariin, sixteen-year-old Enebish was one of the greatest warriors in the Sky King's Imperial Army — a rare Night Spinner able to control the threads of darkness. Now she is known as Enebish the Destroyer, exiled to a remote monastery after losing control of her power and killing a merchant caravan.

When her adoptive sister Ghoa, an Imperial Army captain, offers her a chance to deliver the Sky King's hunting eagles to the capital, Enebish takes it. During the trip she is publicly humiliated and then freed from punishment by the rebel Temujin, whom Ghoa has been hunting for months. With her loyalty now in question, Enebish is given an ultimatum: capture Temujin and earn back her place as a warrior, or remain a criminal.

Night Spinner is the first book in a duology set in a tundra-inspired fantasy world, loosely inspired by The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The story continues in Sky Breaker.
