Synopsis

In AD 671 Ireland, the eve of Samhain brings a gruesome discovery when a man is found murdered in a ritualistic fashion within an unlit pyre. Sister Fidelma and her companion Brother Edulf must navigate the religious and political tensions of Cashel to identify the victim and find his killer. This historical mystery explores the clash between ancient pagan traditions and the rising influence of the Church.
