NERDS

A group of gifted kids with a secret spy agency fighting a villain's plot to take over the world — this is a comic-adventure structure aimed at middle-grade readers, so middle_grade and adventure fit; the humor is constant and slapstick, and the plot is driven by a villain's scheme, so comedy and funny are the dominant moods. The "villain-of-the-week" and "quest" tropes fit the episodic, mission-driven structure of each book, and "coming-of-age" fits the arc of the kids growing into their roles. No romance, violence, or dark content warrants a content warning.
