Synopsis

Found running wild in the forest of Ashton Place, the Incorrigibles are no ordinary children: Alexander keeps his siblings in line with gentle nips, Cassiopeia's bark is usually worse than her bite, and Beowulf is alarmingly adept at chasing squirrels. Fifteen-year-old Penelope Lumley, a recent graduate of the Swanburne Academy for Poor Bright Females, takes the governess post and embraces the challenge — but first she must help the children overcome their canine tendencies.

Mysteries abound at Ashton Place: who are these three wild creatures, and how did they come to live in the estate's vast forests? Why does Old Timothy the coachman lurk around every corner? And will Penelope manage to teach the Incorrigibles table manners in time for Lady Constance's holiday ball? Book one of the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series.
