Synopsis

Anna was conceived to save her sister, Kate, who is battling leukemia. For thirteen years, Anna has donated bone marrow and undergone countless procedures without question. But as she enters her teenage years, Anna begins to question her own identity and purpose, leading to a decision that could shatter her family and endanger the sister she loves.

Jodi Picoult (born May 19, 1966, in Nesconset, New York) is an American novelist known for fiction that explores controversial social and ethical issues, including My Sister's Keeper, Nineteen Minutes, Small Great Things, and the more recent Mad Honey and By Any Other Name. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English and holds a master's degree in education from Harvard University. She lives in Hanover, New Hampshire, with her husband and their three children.
