Synopsis

A standalone psychological thriller narrated by a suburban woman who has never liked her next-door neighbour, Tanya. When she discovers that Tanya is having an affair, she is shocked, and despite her husband Spencer's warnings to stay out of it, she cannot resist getting involved, convinced she is doing the right thing. But sordid secrets do not stay buried for long on a quiet suburban street. As she meddles, she discovers that her neighbour is far from the only person capable of making mistakes, and that those closest to her are hiding secrets of their own. Events spiral out of control, multiple marriages are put at stake, and the narrator is left wishing she had never learned the truth in the first place. Told in a fast-paced, twist-filled style, the book explores how curiosity and self-righteous interference can corrode an entire neighbourhood once a single secret is exposed.
