The idea was fun and quirky. I love Granny a lot that I mourned like the rest as well. But the aftermath was something spectacular and phenomenal-- treasure hunt mission sending out granny's regards and apologises were so thrilling, bag full if suspense and excitement. A bonus of adventure. One thing that I really admire about this book was about all the characters-- on how the author really put his best in portraying and describing, and making each of them super fantastic and different, having certain traits and personalities, good or bad but each really spark the entire plot and giving so much hues to the narrative. I learn a lot about friendship and family, trust and understanding. Even the wurse is admirable. A very lovely read with ups and down, although at certain part is was a bit draggy and too dramatic but still it keeps giving me those tingle of joy. Following Elsa's journey and how she learn to move on and tolerating, she's already a superhero herself. And I love her dad as well, he's trying and I can see it. So much fancy with Granny's fairy tales-- how the real characters/scenarios actually in disguise of all the plot in Land of Almost Awake. Theatrically awe-inspiring. Fairly stirring and exhilarating till the end. Also learning about Britt-Marie in here (I have read Britt-Marie Was Here and love the character wholly much) which I don't really favor her that much at first but she was so 'different' that I can't help to love her even more (Elsa claimed that she's an antagonist and I quite agree too).
Pretty much craving for some coffee and dreams too, I need to get more books by Backman later.
