My Friend the President

It is 1938, and the president embarks on a secret mission to reconnect with the people who need him. He hitches a ride with a thirteen-year-old boy who is on his own journey of a lifetime, and together they travel across the cotton fields of Arkansas in the boy's Lincoln Zephyr convertible. When the Secret Service director's plan goes awry, the pair are set upon by a schizophrenic jailbird, and the joy of traveling becomes a race for survival.
