Cyril Everard Palmer (1930–2013) was a Jamaican writer best known for children's novels set in rural Jamaica. Born in Kendal, Hanover Parish, he trained as a teacher at Mico Teachers' College in Kingston and worked as a journalist for The Gleaner before his first novel, A Broken Vessel, was published in 1960.
