Synopsis

Five years after the events of My Daughter's Boyfriend, Ellie is getting married, and as the confetti settles on the happy couple, her mother reassures herself that the groom, Kyle Beaumont, is a charming and successful businessman, nothing like the ex-boyfriend who once tried to hurt her daughter. But only days after the ceremony, the narrator discovers a letter that reveals what her new son-in-law is hiding. Ellie's troubled past is about to catch up with her, and her mother becomes certain that her daughter is once again in danger. As a parent, she'll stop at nothing to protect her child, even as the secrets of both the past and the present threaten to destroy everything. The second book in the My Daughter's Boyfriend series, this is an addictive domestic thriller of marriage, hidden motives, and a mother's fierce protectiveness, told once more from the mother's anxious perspective.
