Elsie Hoffman has been engaged to her college boyfriend for a year and a half; her best friend Ginny Holtz has been in love with her for almost as long. When Elsie discovers her fiancé has quietly planned their wedding and honeymoon without her, she realizes she's settled for a future she never wanted — and calls it off, a week before the ceremony.

Rather than waste the non-refundable trip, she takes Ginny to the Caribbean instead. The two strike a deal: for one week, Elsie can have whatever she wants, wherever and however she wants it, as long as she asks. What starts as choosing activities and taking selfies turns into something neither of them expected — and the question becomes whether it survives past the honeymoon.
