Museum of Heartbreak
Penelope has been best friends with Audrey and Ephraim since primary school, but everything is getting complicated. Audrey has a new friend who seems to exist solely to make Penelope miserable, and Eph is growing distant. When Penelope starts dating Keats, things get even more complicated.
Each chapter is framed around an object in Penelope's personal "museum of heartbreak" — a collection of trinkets, notes, and keepsakes that trace how she got to where she is. Through them, the novel follows the small and large losses of growing up: first love, shifting friendships, and the particular grief of realizing that the version of your life before you knew heartbreak was possible is gone for good.
