Synopsis
In a bombed Sussex Manor house, sculptor Flikka Ashley discovers her housekeeper dead, poisoned by arsenic. When the local police suspect Flikka, Inspector Lane Parry of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate. The quiet village is further unsettled when another resident is murdered with the same poison, leaving Parry to untangle a web of secrets in a community thrown into chaos.
