Ms. Marvel (2014-2015) #1

Ms. Marvel (2014-2015) #1 is the single 24-page comic issue that introduces Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City torn between her strict immigrant family and her love of Avengers fan fiction. After sneaking out to a party, she is enveloped by a strange mist and experiences a vision of Captain Marvel, Iron Man and Captain America before waking with the power to shape-shift and alter her size.

Written by G. Willow Wilson with art by Adrian Alphona and a cover by Sara Pichelli, this issue launched the first ongoing series to star a Muslim superhero, published by Marvel Comics on February 5, 2014.
