It was a cute, easy read, and I did laugh a few times. The idea of four moms and a bunch of kids in an old, falling-apart house was pretty fun.
That said, it didn’t feel super realistic. The characters were a bit flat, each defined by just one trait—like one was a man-hater, one was grumpy, another was the hippy, and so on. It made it hard to really connect with any of them.
The ending also didn’t quite work for me. <spoiler>I couldn’t get why she’d choose to stay in a chaotic house with no privacy. I was kind of expecting they’d end up moving to a neighbor house where each kid could have their own room an peace. It just felt like that would’ve made more sense! </spoiler>
Overall, it was fine for a light read.
