Moonlight on Butternut Lake

Moonlight on Butternut Lake
Synopsis
Mila Jones has left the city behind for the quiet shores of Butternut Lake. Looking after Reid Ford is more than a job to her; it is a chance at a fresh start. Her patient does everything he can to make her quit, but Mila refuses to give up on him.
Mila is not the only one who came here for refuge. Haunted by the car accident that nearly killed him, Reid has shut himself away and wants nothing from anyone, least of all the whole town's concern for his wellbeing. Against the odds, Mila draws him out, and the two form a tentative bond that deepens as they become part of the daily fabric of Butternut Lake.
But the world intrudes even here. When Mila's violent husband forces his way back into her life, she and Reid have to face down the past together.
Moonlight on Butternut Lake is the third novel in Mary McNear's Butternut Lake series, a small-town Minnesota romance about two people healing at their own pace.
