I must admit I'm impressed; I wasn't really sure what to expect from a book about modern werewolves (along with vampires, fae, walkers and other supernatural creatures), but it wasn't much, and I began reading it mostly because of its high rating in Goodreads. In any case, Patricia Briggs managed to capture my attention with her exemplary narration, the almost seamless interaction between the natural and the supernatural world, the great sense of humour, and, of course, with her witty heroine, Mercy Thompson, who, in her own words, her degree in history is one of the reasons she is an auto mechanic (that one made me laughing uncontrollably).
