Barthe DeClements
Barthe DeClements (1920–2019) was an American author of children's and young adult books, best known for her debut novel "Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade" (1981). Born in Seattle, Washington, she worked as a teacher and school counselor before turning to writing, and drew on that experience in realistic novels about school life, family difficulty and self-esteem.
