Synopsis

Nadia and Ange, a middle-aged couple, find their lives unraveling as they perceive universal disdain. When Ange suffers a mysterious wound, their unsettling neighbor, a supposed famous author named Noget, forces his care upon them. As Noget's influence grows, Nadia embarks on a disturbing journey to confront her past, leaving the reader to question her motives and the reality of their increasingly nightmarish existence.

Marie NDiaye is a French novelist and playwright, born on 4 June 1967 in Pithiviers, in the Loiret. The daughter of a French mother and a Senegalese father, she was raised by her mother, a teacher, in the suburbs of Paris.
