Synopsis

Long before she was the Mistress of All Evil, she was a child, and then a teenager, shaped by the people and losses around her. The fourth novel in Serena Valentino's Villains series traces that path in full: a story of love and betrayal, of magic and old grudges, leading up to exactly the moment she becomes the figure audiences know from Sleeping Beauty.

Like the rest of the series, the novel treats a Disney antagonist's cruelty as the destination of a specific history rather than an inborn trait.
