Synopsis

After his friend Brian Shipton is found dead on a Montana mountain trail with no obvious cause of death, journalist Jon Krakauer investigates the case and becomes obsessed with uncovering who killed him. What begins as an amateur inquiry spirals into a dangerous manhunt through the wilderness surrounding Missoula, Montana, as evidence mounts that someone was hunting both men.

Jon Krakauer (born April 12, 1954, in Brookline, Massachusetts) is an American writer, journalist and mountaineer.
