Mimi's Tales of Terror

Mimi's Tales of Terror collects nine short horror manga stories by Junji Ito centered on Mimi, a college student, and her boyfriend Naoto, who repeatedly find themselves caught up in unsettling supernatural encounters. The stories are Ito's adaptations of real-life-inspired urban legends originally collected by Hirokatsu Kihara and Ichiro Nakayama in "Shin Mimibukuro."

The collection includes "On the Utility Pole," "The Woman Next Door," "Rustling in the Grass," "Grave Placement," "Seashore," "Just the Two of Us," "Scarlet Circle," and "Sign in the Field," plus a bonus story, "Monster Prop," featuring different protagonists, and afterwords describing how Ito adapted the source tales.

First published in Japan and released in English by VIZ Media in 2023.
