Synopsis

Philip Hawksbury, the Earl of Rothermere, travels to Scotland to fulfill his father's dying wish: to marry one of the Kilbracken daughters. Frances Kilbracken, determined to avoid selection, disguises herself as a plain woman, only to be chosen by Philip for all the wrong reasons. Their unhappy marriage takes them to England, where Frances's unexpected talent with horses at his ancestral estate begins to reveal the true woman beneath the disguise. A battle of wits and wills ensues, promising laughter and a delightful clash of personalities.
