Synopsis

Originally published in Korea as "The Savior Who Comes at Night." Su-yeon, a detective hollowed out by loneliness, investigates a string of impossible deaths at a hospital: isolated elderly patients found after falling from the roof, suicide notes in their own hand—and not a drop of blood left in their bodies. At the scene she meets Violette, who claims to be a vampire hunter searching for her lost love, Lily. Braiding together 1980s France and present-day South Korea, this cult-favorite Korean novel uses its vampires to tell a tender, aching story about loneliness, family, and the people we refuse to let go. Translated from the Korean.
