Mastery of Monsters

When August's brother vanishes, leaving only a cryptic note, she suspects something far more sinister than college stress. After a monstrous attack, August discovers a hidden world where creatures are real, and her brother is in grave danger. Her only hope lies with Virgil Hawthorne, a bookish monster himself, who offers a partnership: join his secret society and compete in a deadly trial, and he'll help her find her missing brother.
