Synopsis

Garion, Belgarath and Polgara press on across the wastelands of the Vale of Aldur toward the fortress of Cthol Murgos, tracking the theft of the Orb of Aldur into ever more dangerous territory. As Garion's own untested powers begin to surface, the company must survive treachery, ancient sorcery, and the machinations of the Grolim priesthood to keep the pursuit alive.

David Eddings (1931-2009) was an American fantasy novelist born in Spokane, Washington. He wrote the Belgariad and Malloreon, the Elenium and Tamuli, and the standalone Redemption of Althalus, among other novels. He worked with his wife, Leigh Eddings, from the start of his career; she was credited as co-author from 1995 and died in 2007.
